In the production of oxygen indicator rolls, powdery impurities released from the material tend to adhere to the rollers, causing continuous wear on the cutting blades. This results in frequent blade replacements and repeated production line shutdowns, significantly driving up consumable and labor costs—a common pain point across the industry. Recently, an indicator slitting device independently developed by our company was granted a national utility model patent.

This equipment innovatively features a structure comprising multiple layers of movable troughs and a sliding base plate linked to pulleys. It stably supports the feed of the indicator rolls, optimizes the impurity separation path, and reduces direct friction between the powder and the blades, thereby alleviating blade wear at its source. The equipment is flexibly adjustable to accommodate continuous slitting of indicator rolls of varying widths, ensuring uniform and stable cut dimensions while minimizing edge burrs and defective material.
Based on actual mass production testing in the workshop, this device effectively extends blade service life, reduces the frequency of downtime for blade replacement, increases the continuous operating time of automated production lines, and significantly lowers overall production losses. Currently, the patented equipment has been fully implemented across our oxygen indicator production lines, ensuring stable bulk supply.
Moving forward, our company will continue to focus on the R&D of supporting equipment for freshness-preservation materials, iterating processes across the entire production workflow—including slitting, rewinding, and packaging—to achieve quality improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains through equipment innovation, thereby supplying high-quality oxygen indicator products to our customers.
