Challenge & Protection Requirements
Underground mines and coastal storage combine extreme humidity, acidic atmospheres from sulfide mineral oxidation, high chloride salt spray, and 20 °C+ daily temperature swings. Rolling bearings, motors, and gearbox components must survive 6–36 months of storage without corrosion.
Solution
504C deliberately uses a 7-day slow deoxygenation profile: a faster reaction would generate heat and moisture condensation inside the sealed package. It reduces O2 from 21% to below 0.1% within 7 days and maintains that level for more than 2 years. For applications that need speed, the 504BZ showcase model reaches 0.1% within 12 hours.
